Well it's not going to feel like an entirely new game, but here's a list of the main changes.

• Open world: Free travel from stage to stage.
• Multiple missions: You can collect shines out of order.
• No boot out: Collecting shines doesn't bring you back to the hub.
• Blue coins: Blue coin's have been put in multiple act's where possible.
• More coins: added around 30-60 coins to every stage.
• Custom stages: Three new custom stages created by yours truly.
• Various other features: Restored ciao audio clip, hover nozzle can move on ceilings, cut scenes skipable, and blue coins don't give you a save prompt.

The original Super Mario RPG has always been my favorite Mario RPG and in fact my current favorite game of all time.

Mega Man 3 is a pretty difficult thing. I think all 8 songs are good, though there are clearly some front runners for best in the series. (I will admit I'm not a fan of Gemini Man's theme though, but I don't think it's bad)

If I had to pick a favorite, I'd say Spark Man, but I have 3 of them in my top 10 of all time so it's very close.

yes, i didn't really imagine there are people who view him as a person first and as a symbol of the movement second, but perhaps. if he had been known before the incident it'd be more likely, but he was not. either way, i can't read this girl's mind.

I think it's enjoyable finding common ground with people of different viewpoints, even if that means having to admit I am wrong at times.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to separate him from the movement, since it's not like he was a guy that was known before his death, and supported the cause but died of unrelated circumstances. He literally died because of what the cause is fighting and that fueled it.

That's why it's kinda weird to argue "She may have just been referencing the person and nothing else!"

i like your heuristic that something is racist only if they were doing it specifically because of the person's skin color (i.e. if she'd do it with a white person's death it shows her intent is not racist)

however it's a bit difficult in this case because the person being joked about is well-known entirely because of his race, and the situation being joked about is directly related to race

so i can't quite hypothesize "would she do it about a white person"

the reason it's insensitive is because george flloyd, to many people, is sort of a symbol of "we don't feel safe in this country. we feel we are in danger if cops ever talk to us", and joking about something that makes people feel that level of pain is probably not a good idea (depends on audience! some audiences may be cool with this, but this is pretty public)

and since the reason its insensitive is directly tied to a racial dynamic, i feel that justifies the term "racially insensitive", which is a different term than "racist" and can apply regardless of intent

I guess the way I look at it as I'm viewing it as just him as a person and not the movement that's associated with him. I think anyone viewing it this way would come to the same reasoning that I've mentioned throughout the topic.

That being said, if you're viewing him as a symbol for the movement and what it means then I can certainly see how that would come across as racially insensitive. I can't deny the problem the black community has with police, no more than I can deny that it does feel like police are more alert around the black community than they are the white community. I also can't deny you have good reason to be worried around police. If we're basing it on that, then I cannot disagree with you.

As I said earlier in the topic, I will only consider something racist if it was done toward or in opposition of someone because they're a certain race. To be more exact, treating a specific race differently because they're different.

It's not. So if you want to argue intent, there's STILL no way to even try and argue her intent was innocent. So your own argument fails. But at the end of the day, the intent doesn't matter.

The joke wasn't about George Floyd's astrological sign.

The joke wasn't about a physical feature that George Floyd had that caused him to new picked on in grade school.

The "joke" was about his death. You know, that one time where he was murdered by police officers. It was national news and used as an example of racial inequality. Those thoughts and those ideas are so intrinsically linked that you do not get to reference his death in a vacuum. And if you are attempting to reference his death in a vacuum without all the other "baggage" ruining your joke then I'm afraid you are guilty of being racially insensitive.

It literally could not be more clear cut.

I'm fully aware the joke was about his death, and I said I didn't think it was right and didn't like it. I will again mention that you can't have this both ways. Either you can separate the man from the movement, or you can't. If you can't, then you devalue him as a single individual person and I just won't do that. I also will not just assume this girls intent without proof, no matter how stupid she would have to be for it to just be a breathing joke and nothing more.

My point isn't whether people should have a problem with what you did, of course they should, they should even in the case of what this topic is about. My point is that if he knows in advance he can't do that, then he's planning to do something he knows will be reckless in advance, whereas the girl here very well could have just thought of the joke on the spur of the moment and did it without viewing it as anything more than a joke about not being able to breathe. In that case, we can say it was insensitive, but had nothing to do with race.

As I said, just a stupid joke about breathing and he's the first person they thought of.

Since some people are going to suggest this, some already believe it, I'm again stating I'm not ok with what the person did, I'm not advocating for it, I'm not defending it. All I'm saying is I want proof that it's worse than how it looks to me at face value before saying it's worse than that. I don't think that in of itself is such a bad thing.

Ignorance of what? If you know how he died enough to make an "I can't breathe" joke, then you literally know the circumstances surrounding his death. There is no "accidentally" ignorant, here. At best, it's willful ignorance of the problem or movement and what they mean to black people. And in that case, it's still racially insensitive. We don't have enough facts to say there's malice and it's straight up a racist action, but we absolutely have enough facts to know it's racially insensitive, which is literally what they said, so there should be no issues taken.

It's entirely possibly that all they knew is that he died while police were restraining him and his way of dying was not being able to breath. Do we know for sure? No, but we also don't know that isn't the case. Innocent until proven guilty I say. I'm not just going to label it racially insensitive because he was black by assuming they knew more than that.
